Office and Residental building, Goce Delchev, Sofia, Bulgaria

The functional decision of the building reflects on its separation to commercial and residential parts. The commercial unit is determined by the tight curtain wall. The sunscreen elements on the south side are used not only to protect against excessive sunlight, but also to give a crisp finish itself. The walls are revetted with granite panels. The residential part is incorporated intо the commercial one in order to achieve synchronization between two different functions in one building. While the office part is determined by a strict and tight facade, the residential one is in stark contrast to it. It is characterized by a richer articulation and play of colors.
